Join Our Knitting for a Cause Program
At Knit One Stitch Too, helping the local community is important to us. We achieve this through our Knitting for a Cause program. You can use your skills to provide others with what they need. Support our efforts by knitting chemo caps, prayer shawls, knockers, or any other type of item that can be donated.
We have donated preemie hats and teal (ovarian cancer) chemo caps to those who need them. Come join our knit-along held on the first Tuesday of every month at 1:00 pm. If you have any questions, please
call
us.
Get Involved With the Knitted Knockers Program
Knit One Stitch Too is participating in the Knitted Knockers program (
www.knittedknockers.org). If you'd like to be a volunteer knitter, we invite you to join us in knitting prostheses for breast cancer survivors.
We have tie-ups with area hospitals and clinics to provide knitted prostheses to women who need them for free. These prostheses are more comfortable than traditional ones and can be worn with a regular bra. We make them in all sizes and colors. Call today for more details.
Support the Homeless With HomeFront
"HomeFront's mission is to end homelessness in Central New Jersey by harnessing the resources and expertise of the community.""HomeFront provides everything a family needs to overcome a life of extreme poverty."
Join our efforts to support HomeFront. Donate yarn - full or half skeins from your stash, toiletries - toothpaste, toothbrushes, and feminine products. We're also collecting gently worn knitted or crocheted mittens, gloves, hats, and scarves.
